Brielle's question of the day

I bought some graduation cards the other day for the upcoming parties we have been invited to. I was tucking them away in this basket where I keep greeting cards, envelopes, stationary, etc....

Brielle was watching and she asked me...

"What are you doing, Mom? Are you doing e-mail?"

The Latest Attraction

Grandma & Grandpa B have something new at the farm...
Josie & Brielle are figuring out how to get this door unlocked.
John's peeking in also to check out the excitement.

Inside are 10 egg-laying chickens!

The cousins have enjoyed seeing the chickens and searching for new eggs every time we visit. Grandma & Grandpa have been sending eggs home with the kids. Brielle was SOO excited about bringing home 4 eggs. On the way home from the farm that day she said, "Can we stop and show Grandma Carol the eggs?" Brielle has been telling everyone about her eggs.
Then, after a few days we realized that Brielle thought we were just going to KEEP the eggs in the refrigerator. She didn't want anyone to eat them. The next time we were at the farm Tim said to his dad, "Hey, does someone want to tell my daughter that it's okay to eat the eggs?" :)
So after Grandpa B told Brielle, now Brielle is okay with us using them to make pancakes :).

How many cousins can you fit in a Gator?

Boofy Dress

We ordered this dress new off Ebay, as a potential dress for Brielle to wear for Jenny's wedding. It's a darling dress! (She didn't want to take her jammies off before trying it on... and we weren't forcing the issue since it was close to bed time :) ) We ended up returning the dress because it was too small-- too tight zippering the back. They don't have it available in a 4T. But the funniest thing was that Brielle refers to it as the "boofy dress" because we were talking about how poofy it was. :) And she has told me since then, "I didn't like that boofy dress. You have to send it in the mail." So the search continues.

Great Grandpa Joe

John & Brielle's great grandpa Joe was a John Deere engineer. After serving as a pilot in World War II, Joe worked for John Deere for 38 years. Joe was responsible for correcting problems in construction of industrial tractors, graders, skidders, and 4 wheel drive loaders.

Joe gave this tractor as a gift to Kristen's cousin Sam when Sam was a little boy. The Elinson family passed the tractor on to us, and our kids have a lot of fun with it. Grandpa Joe would be proud :).

More photos from Easter at the Farm

Here's Brielle playing with Amy the dog. It's one of our kids' favorite things to do at the farm:). The last couple of Sundays, we attended mass right before we went to the farm. During mass, John would start asking "Amy? See Amy? Amy?"
John got some new rain boots for Easter. Check them out :)
John's looking at something in the sky...
Look at how proud Tim is! See what Brielle is doing?
Brielle flew her first kite!

If you look really close-- just below the top of the tree on the left, you'll see the blue & yellow kite Brielle was flying.

Saturday at the Lake

The kids had fun playing outside at Grandma Carol's & Grandpa Ted's house.

The River is high right now-- you can't even see the beach!

They went all the way up the hill to fetch rocks...

...and back down.

Brielle is wearing a new dress she found in her Easter Basket.

I love the sky in this last photo :)

Egg Hunt

We took John & Brielle to an egg hunt at the neighborhood hardware store. After the kids collected about 18 eggs they could bring them inside to the Easter Bunny to get their goodie bag.

Brielle & John spent at least 15 minutes with these baby chicks :)
John sat with the Easter Bunny for a photo, but Brielle wasn't too interested.

1st trip to the park for 2010

While Tim was at track practice last Friday morning, we headed over to the park near our house. It was cute to see John follow Brielle wherever she climbed. He took his first ride down the tall twirly slide with no hesitation at all. If Brielle was going down it, so was he!

And whenever Brielle climbed up onto this motorcycle...
John did too :)

After they were finished at the park, we walked to the fish pond. The kids were hoping to see all the Koi fish. I wasn't expecting to see what we saw when we got there, but I had to answer a lot of questions about why there were fish floating on top of the water and lying in the grass, instead of swimming around.

The original bikini wearer

Here's Alexia wearing the same bikini as Brielle :)

Alexia is 6 years old in this picture. We were in Oregon, staying along the Pacific Ocean, for a Wagner Family Reunion.

Easter at the Farm

John & Grandpa John outside for the scavenger hunt:

Brielle finds her eggs in the basement...
A few more eggs...
John is excited about the M&M's inside the eggs!

Sometimes she doesn't want to take a bath,

and so we have to think creatively.

On this particular night, I said,
"Do you want to wear a bikini that used to be Alexia's?"
I don't think I even finished saying Alexia's name, before Brielle was excitedly saying, "Yes, yes I do wanna wear Alexia's 'akini."
