Brielle & John love having Dad home for the summer. On this particular day while Mom was at work, they constructed a cardboard car, made homemade bread, and decorated for the 4th of July.

Our first garden
Tim decided he wanted to build & plant a raised garden in our back yard. It was a great project for the kids to help out with. Even the neighbor kids joined in the fun.
Tim bought some tomato plants. He let Brielle & John pick out seeds and they chose: carrots, zuchinni, squash, and sweet peas.
Brielle's preK graduation
We went to Brielle's end of the year preK program, "A Rainbow of Learning", and graduation at the end of May. The kids did a great job singing several songs about colors, days of the week, and summertime.
She's holding the O for the song about the color orange.
Getting her certificate from her teacher, Mrs. Miller.
A final blessing song.
Frentress in May
This was a fun day we spent at Frentress- Brielle & John played a lot with my cousin Anna's kids: Lauren & Peyton. They did a lot of swimming and running around.
Peyton, John, Lauren & Brielle
When John rides his scooter around, he likes to lift up one leg to show us how long he can balance :)
A little to say about Ted- a good sleeper
Here's another photo of Ted at 2 1/2 months.
People ask how Ted compares to John & Brielle... let's talk about their sleeping habits.
Ted started sleeping through the night around 9 weeks old, this was just after when I went back to work :) -- perfect! Brielle slept through the night starting at 8 weeks, so they are pretty similar. John wasn't sleeping regularly through the night until he was about 7 months old!
Loving being a Big Sis
Brielle is a great big sister and a great helper with Baby Ted. She asks often to help out with taking care of him. She has helped give Ted a couple bottles... and she asks when he can have another bottle. Since he is breastfed, the bottles don't happen too often. But she's always ready to help :)

The girls were taking a bunch of photos the other day with our point & shoot camera. Here's a really cute one taken by Emma! :)
Kiddie Kayaks
Grandpa Ted bought 3 little kids kayaks in the early spring. Brielle & John were excited for the day when the weather was finally warm enough to try them out.
But then when it came time to hop in and paddle, Brielle & John were a little unsure of what to do and wanted some help. Tim said, "Should I show you how they work?"
"Yes!" they said.
So Tim gets in...
John gave him the paddle...
Hmmm... maybe he's a little bigger than a kid
Well it looks like they didn't need much help on what to do anyways--- quick learners! :)
McKenna & Brielle
Brielle has fun playing with and dressing up like her American Girl Doll, McKenna.
Getting ready on a Friday...
And later with matching hair styles :)

zzzzzzzz
Little ones can sleep in the funniest positions :)
This little girl doesn't like to get under her covers at night! She likes to sleep on top with a blanket or 2. She says then she never has to make her bed.

Friday scooter walk
Most Fridays I am home with our 3 kids. Here is how we spent our morning a few weeks ago:
Brielle & John received new Razor scooters at Easter. They love them! Several kids in the neighborhood have them too, and it has been a great way for the kids to have fun, be active, and improve their balance. Both Brielle & John have improved so much in the weeks that they have had the scooters.
John wanted to bring a backpack along- I think he insisted he needed some toys for our adventure :)
By this point, they were walking and I had the scooters! (Stay tuned for how I managed that)
Ted enjoyed our walk too
The stroller worked great for carrying the scooters, backpack, and other gear, as the weather warmed up and they took off their layers.
