"Brielle, what happened to Amy?"

Brielle: "Amy got a hair cut."
Quick photo op before Tim went to chop hay for a few hours:
John has a fondness for Amy, the dog, also:)
And Brielle met Penny's horse, Star, for the first time this weekend.
Climbing up for a closer look:

Brielle also rode Star (bareback!) for a short distance, but I don't have any photos as evidence.  She loved riding her, and has been talking about it a lot since the weekend.  Guess we'll have to do it again for a photo.  I'm sure Brielle won't mind:).

He's a Climber!

Look who learned to crawl up into the dishwasher:)

Here are a couple things she has been up to...

Blowing bubbles with dad
"Now you do it daddy"

Me:  "Brielle, did you get your hair cut?"
Brielle:   "Yeah, Stacy got my hair cut"

Minnesota, part 2

John's favorite part about mealtime at Connly's house was Tico!  John couldn't concentrate on his dinner:)
Brielle had her first violin lesson with Julia.  The previous day she heard Maggie play the piano & French horn, and Sam played his trumpet.
John enjoyed Julia & Eileen's dollhouse :) !

"Me do it"

Just chilling out...

Brielle loves spending time with her Aunt Alexia!

She's also "into" sunglasses and pockets lately:)

Cow rides :)

Notice how they are feeding the woodchips to the cows:)

John enjoyed some piano time with Grandma B.  His favorite song that she played that day was "Johnny Boy."

Easter photos

At the farm, there were 7 eggs hidden for each grandchild.  They had to find the egg with "their number" on it.  Brielle is grandchild #12 and John is #15.

Some people say John sticks his tongue out just like his dad does when he's thinking:).
They enjoyed shaking the eggs.  Brielle discovered about an hour later that the "rattling" was actually something she could eat:).

John had a lot of fun with his new trucks.
The Easter Bunny brought Brielle a new swimsuit, a shirt, books, and stickers; but the empty baskets were just as much fun.

Fun at the farm

Here's our little farm girl.  She has no fear when it comes to the animals at the farm.
Amy, the dog, is her favorite-- it's the first thing Brielle usually asks for when we arrive, "Amy? Amy?"  And Brielle no longer lets Amy lick her face.  If Amy tries, Brielle says, "Amy, no mouth."
Her next favorite stop is the calf barn.  Sometimes she helps Grandpa & Grandma feed the calves.
She has also learned to put her hand right up to their mouths...
Can you tell by the look on her face what just happened?

Brielle & Tim are "mooing" at each other, and then panting like Amy.

There are many cats on the farm, and this one is especially nice since she allows Brielle to pet her.  Some cats are a little more wild and won't come near us.

Messy mealtime faces...

always make for a good photo op:)

John's latest interest

This is the best bottle of bubbles ever-- you squeeze the bottle and the wand comes up.  No more reaching in and chasing the wand, no more sticky fingers, and no more trails of bubble liquid on the floor & the bottle.  What a great invention.  And with a wand like this, Brielle can blow them without our help!
If you look & listen closely, you can see John "blowing"
(and burping too!)
There were bubbles in his Easter basket and when he saw them, he started blowing air through his lips. It was pretty cute!

Boys in blue

He's always looking for her:)

Now that John's on the move, he's starting to follow Brielle around.

Big hill, little legs

Think she'll make it?

Bye Bye

Tim & I have been impressed with John's ability to say "Bye Bye" and wave-- and so we have been asking him to do it a few times a day.  Well, what does that do to his sister?  Of course, she wants a little attention also.  She shows us that she can do it too:).   The same thing has been happening as we work with John on "How big is John?  Sooo big!"  Brielle says "me, soo big" and she raises her arms, with a proud smile.
