On this particular night, I said,

"Do you want to wear a bikini that used to be Alexia's?"

I don't think I even finished saying Alexia's name, before Brielle was excitedly saying, "Yes, yes I do wanna wear Alexia's 'akini."

...to guess what John is saying (& doing) until Brielle gives it away :)

Somebody just woke up...

... and can you tell by his body language that he doesn't want to smile for this photo?

But within the next minute, we got a little grin :)

He likes these shoes :)

John loves to dance. And ever since learning about tap shoes from his cousin Karley, John likes to stomp around and make a little noise:). The shoes he's wearing in this video were once worn by Kristen, Jenny & Alexia. They aren't actually tap shoes, but pretty close to it, if you ask John. This weekend, Kristen & Carol were cleaning out some boxes and found them.

There's a pink pair of the same shoes too. That's what John is asking for at the end. Thanks to Brielle, since she is always asking for a pink cup/pink bowl/pink plate, 'pink' has been the first color that John has learned. :)!

Bunnies!!

"Grandpa" Pete brought 4 bunnies by Becky's house yesterday for all the kiddos to enjoy! Becky said Brielle & John were "all over" the new bunnies-- in other words, not very timid around them :). It was sooo cute for Tim & I to see these videos that Becky shared with us. Thanks Becky!

Thanks for the presents, Jenny & Jef!

A package came all the way from California for Brielle's birthday :). Brielle had fun opening the 8 little presents. And there were even some stickers for John. Thanks Jenny & Jef!!

CUTEST. CAKES. EVER!

Brielle wanted a pink princess castle cake... and our friend Heather did the most amazing job! (The princesses themselves didn't last very long on the cake-- since Brielle was so eager to play with them.)

Here are all 3 cakes:

Jolene made the frog cake for Lincoln. Heather made the castle cake for Brielle and the princess crown cake for Karley. It was a "princess & the frog" theme.

Mmmmm.... and they were delicious too!

Patience

It's Brielle's birthday today. She turns 3. We are having a family birthday party tonight and also recognizing 2 of her cousins' birthdays: Karley (2 on Feb 19) and Lincoln (2 on March 6). They are each going to have their own cute cake.

She keeps asking "When are my friends coming over?"

Good question

This past weekend I was in San Francisco with Jenny & Mom. We were shopping for Jenny's wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses:). We had a lot of fun, but the one thing missing was Alexia :( who couldn't take time off school.

While I was gone, Brielle asked at dinnertime if she could listen to some Disney music. We use Tim's iPod Touch & hook it up to our kitchen radio- to listen to Disney songs on Pandora. (As heard in that video of John dancing.) Well, I had the iPod Touch with me in San Fran. Tim told Brielle they wouldn't be able to listen to Disney music since "Mom has the iPod Touch."

Brielle then said, "Oh.... is Mommy listening to Disney Music right now?"

Lincoln & John

Look at these 2--- they have so much fun together! They are only 3 months apart in age, with Lincoln being older.

When your only tool is a hammer...

Tonight I heard Tim say to John & Brielle, "No thank you. That's not how you play the guitar. You do not use a hammer."

(Tim said the guitar is fine, might just need a tune-up.)

"tech-y" Brielle

Brielle just said this, "I need to email you someday, Mom."

Here's the story that precedes that statement:

I was working on my computer and had a piece of paper next to me. She picked up the paper and said "This is my email. I need to email you someday, Mom." Then she tucked it away into a box of toys that she was playing with. :)

Winter Fun at the Lake

John loves riding on the ATV with Grandpa Ted! He laughs and laughs as they cruise around:)

It was fun trying to explain to Brielle that under the snow is the frozen lake.

Here is what Brielle says about the above photo:

"There's me with Grandpa. I'm walking on the snow beach because there's no water."
