At the top of the Gondola, we walked over to the sledding area and bought 1-hour sledding passes for Brielle & John. They had a great time... sledding down the hill and carrying their saucers back up... over & over. So there was a lot of snow in this area, but mostly man-made. The entire Heavenly Ski Resort was only 18% open while we were there.
Then we ate lunch at the Tamarack Lodge.
We had a Gondola to ourselves on the ride down. It was fun for the kids because they moved all around, switching seats and looking out each window.
John's ears really started to bother him during this ride on our way down... he had said his ears hurt the night before, and again on this night. The day before we left, we took him to an Urgent Care Center. We only waited about 15 minutes, and had a really great doctor, but learned John had a double ear infection. His first ear infections... we picked up an Amoxicillin prescription at a local pharmacy... and as for the plane ride home, the doctor could only say "Good Luck." We were prepared for worse, but John did a really good job on our 3 flights home.
